As you can see I've been a bit off my game for a while. And while I have been gone two apps have decided to close up shop. Shopprize (I talked about that with you yesterday) and today I found out Pay Your Selfie is shutting down as well! Thankfully theirs will be a temporary shut down, they plan on coming back next year with a brand new app.
So that will be two apps off the list, but three more on! I am still testing out Moola and BitWalking, but they both look very promising. The Walmart Savings Catcher app has been tested by others multiple times, so I feel it is solid enough to get added to the weekly round up.
I don't have enough information on my new apps (except for Savings Catcher) to give you too many details. Once I do I will do full write ups so I can make sure you are maximizing your earnings!
I opened up my phone and my heart sank. One of my favorite money making apps, Shopprize, has decided to shut down. Could they be working on a new app? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I get to be sad that one of my easiest money making apps is closing it's doors at the end of this month.
If you have not yet tried Shopprize, HURRY! Go install it (android), earn some easy cash or prizes while you can! All you have to do is take a picture of your receipt containing some kind of food or beverage. If you bought something, but you don't have a receipt, they'll give you points for that as well. You can use your points to enter to win great prizes, or save them up. Once you reach 5000 coins you can cash in for a $5 Amazon gift card.
But at least we still have other great apps, like Jobspotter and Yaarlo.
A couple weeks ago, I started using a new app called Moola. It is super similar to ReceiptHog and Yaarlo. But, they're a lot more picky. You can only use grocery store receipts, and if you have any non grocery items it will get rejected. I have only just started this app, so I don't know what the cash out point is, or how much you earn per receipt. When I do I'll write a full review on this new app! So far it seems promising, and just a little annoying.
Around the same time I decided to give the Walmart Savings Catcher app a try. I don't shop at Walmart a lot, but I do have family members in my house that do. I have been using it for a few weeks, and already they've given me $3.65 in the form of a Walmart gift card. This is something I see being added to my weekly round up.
Last app I will touch on today is brand new. It is called BitWalking. It works with the google workout app by tracking your steps every day and giving you points for them. Still no word on how many steps equal how many points, nor what you will be able to use these points on. But, it seems promising. I'm looking forward to watching this app grow!
Tomorrow I will be going back to normal and posting my updated review!
