As you are all aware by now I am constantly on the lookout for new apps to use to make a little extra cash using just my phone. I surf the net reading reviews, weeding out the biased ones from the real ones, and then trying the best looking ones myself. Honestly, sometimes I dislike an app so much that I uninstall it before I even remember to write about it! (And I apologize for that, I'll try to remember to find all the ones I hate and write about why.)
Panel App - This is something that you can run in your background of your phone, and earn money from passively. Of course, you aren’t going to make lot off this app, but you can make a few dollars by doing pretty much nothing as long as this app is downloaded on your phone.
The company collects data for the purpose of analytics, so, if you are comfortable in sharing basic information such as your location services and phone usage, you can earn some money from this app.
So far it's been slow going. I've only earned 241 points and you need 3,000 for just $2. But for doing absolutely nothing, I still feel like it's worth leaving installed on my phone.
Cash Rewards - This one feel a bit more iffy. But it has a wheel that gives you free points just for spinning. You can also earn points by watching ads, doing "offers" (download items to your phone and surveys), and a slot machine.
You can cash out for $1 amazon gift card when you reach 600 points. So again, not a fast app, but something is better than nothing!
I also recently found out about an app called COSIGN. It says that you can take pictures of your everyday life with tag name brands of clothes or items that are in the picture and earn money for doing so! Worth a shot right? I'll look into it and let you know if it's worth your time.
So, I'm trying to get better at this whole blogging thing, obviously I still need to work a bit harder!
But, it was a pretty successful week app wise! BerryCart is still possibly on the chopping block. I've decided to give it until the end of this month. If I have not made any money with it by then, it's jumping ship!
Apps Total – ⇑ $10.12 (Four dollars up from last week's $6.03!)
Local Yard Sale Page – $1329 – ⇑ 26
Total for the week…
Slowly making up for my lost cash.
For my next post I'll be reviewing a few more apps I've run across! Swing by in a few days to read more!
Not too many new apps, so this will be a short post.
I am constantly on the lookout for more money making apps and I think I've found a few more. Please keep in mind I am still testing out all of my apps, and if anything changes I will let you know!
Job Spotter (android)- Seems easy enough to make a little extra cash here! Pretty much all you do is find "Help Wanted" signs posted in the windows of stores around you. For every 100 points you earn you get $1 Amazon gift card. Simple! There is even an ongoing competition for sending in the most "Help Wanted" signs. First place gets $300! (But it's hard to achieve, the top person right now has 29800 points.
Fiverr (android, ios)- I used to use this site all the time when it first appeared on the internet. I stopped using it because the site got very flooded and the amount of effort needed to make $5 was ridiculous. Thankfully it seems now that things have leveled out a bit, and making some money seems promising again. I haven't decided yet what I would like to sell on there yet, but as soon as I do I'll post it here.
I'm also starting to dislike Swagbucks again. The amount of time and effort you have to put in to get anything in return is ridiculous! I'm not saying I'm ready to give it up again just yet... But if I had a real job, I would not be wasting my time doing their annoying tasks for less than a penny.
Come back again Friday when I give you my tips and tricks to hosting a lucrative garage sale!
So I posted a bit ago with some lazy ways I make a little extra money.
Since then I have found a lot more! So I'll put them in too. (I'll include the ones in the previous list at the ends of each category)
Alright, so lets talk about these new apps!
And that is all I have for you at the moment. I am constantly on the lookout for more apps to earn more extra cash!
They say you do better with a goal in mind, and I'm proud to announce I now have a goal! I'll tell you more about it next time.
Being a parent is hard. First you have to take care of yourself, then you have to take care of a grown man who still wishes he was a kid, and then you get an actual kid. And you're left standing there thinking "huh, how did I get here". Obviously if you're in this predicament you know very well how you got here, but you realize just how much you were not prepared for it.
My son is now 17 months old, and I still don't know what the heck I'm doing. He needs me so much, and I don't even have my life together enough to take care of my house and feed myself, let alone two other people. And then there's the sleeping... or lack thereof. Did you know some children won't sleep through the night until the age of three? Because I sure didn't! Yeah, three years of little to no sleep. Unless you want to do the cry it out method (which I have honestly tried for several months, and he still didn't sleep) you and your little one will be up all the time.
But that's a bit off topic. I'm here today to talk about saving money. I'm not talking about sitting there Sunday morning and clipping coupons, or even scouring the net for the best deals. I'm talking about the lazy way, apps.
There are a ton of apps out there that will help save you money, but I have tested them for you and I have come up with the five easiest apps to save you money (and I'm currently testing a new one, but I'll talk more about that at a later time).
Now I know there are other money making apps out there. But honestly I don't use them. I should, but I don't. They take a lot more effort, like shopkick... you have to actually remember to check in when you're in the store. Which may not seem like a hard thing to remember, except I spend my shopping trips mostly lost in thought or in a heart to heart with my husband. I don't spend much time on my phone when I'm shopping, so naturally I don't think about apps that require me to use them when I am in the store.
After using each one of my lazy apps for a while, here is where I'm at;
On a side note, the best way I've been making money is by using the local yard sale pages on Facebook. Now since I live on a military base (and we're going to be moving soon anyway), I almost always ask for the people to come pick the items up from me. Though I do, on occasion, find a place to meet up. But, by selling items around my house that I don't use anymore I have made...
...over the last year.
I know, $1000 over a whole year? That's not a lot! But, it is. It's $1000 I didn't have before, $1000 I get to save away. The best part, it's ever growing! Especially since we're moving, I find more stuff to get rid of every day. My local yard sale page is currently flooded with items I'm selling. It is currently my favorite way to make some extra money.
So there you have it. Six different ways to earn a little extra money this year. And remember, every little bit helps.
Tune in next time for more money making apps!
